"Nancy Boy" is a limited edition linocut print that reflects on the layered history of the term within queer culture. Once used in early 20th-century Britain to ridicule men who strayed from conventional masculinity, “Nancy Boy” has since been reimagined and embraced as a term of self-definition and quiet defiance.

The print takes up that tension between insult and empowerment. The central figure, inspired by burlesque performance, evokes both the theatricality and tenderness found in reclaiming what was once used to wound. Each print is hand-pressed on Rising Stonehenge paper (250 gsm, deckled edges) with Speedball Professional block-printing ink, ensuring clean lines and lasting depth of tone.

Nancy Boy is both homage and reflection — a nod to the evolution of queer language and the enduring creativity through which queerness continues to transform the ordinary into something subversive and beautiful.

Each print in this limited edition of 50 prints is signed, dated, and numbered in pencil by the artist, accompanied by an elegant certificate of authenticity adorned with a Queero Gear wax seal. Please note that since each print features a unique edition number, the number on your print may differ from the one displayed in the product photographs.

The entire process of creating the linocut, from design and drawing to carving and printing, is performed by hand by the artist. This results in a truly one-of-a-kind piece, with subtle variations that highlight the charm and authenticity of handmade art. These differences and imperfections are not flaws, but rather an inevitable outcome of the handmade process.

Shipping: Your unframed print will be securely packaged in an acid-free, board-backed cellophane sleeve and dispatched within 3-5 business days. Prints are sent in a rigid mailer with tracked shipping via Sendle (Domestic & USA) or Canada Post (International).
